Melbourne, 31st October, 2017: Blitz Publications & Multi-Media’s nourish® magazine has dramatically expanded its Australian distribution after Woolworths confirmed it will begin stocking the title in 700 locations nationwide.

Following nourish® magazine's successful run in more than 130 Woolworths stores over the past few years, the supermarket giant has decided to increase the number of Australia-wide stores. The increase in Woolworths stores will mean an increase in the magazine’s total national distribution by a whopping 25 per cent.

“We are overwhelmed with the support Woolworths has shown for nourish® magazine, which began as a passion project of mine five years ago,” Blitz Publications & Multi-Media’s CEO Silvio Morelli said. “We’re wholly aware of the boost in exposure that Woolworths’ faith in the title will bring, I look forward to seeing nourish® on more supermarket shelves across the country. The demand for wholesome, health-conscious cooking has never been greater, and we’re excited about the issues we have planned for 2018.

“Currently our sales through Woolworths stores account for almost 20 per cent of our total sales. With the additional 550 stores this should see our national sales almost double,” Morelli said.

nourish’s rise in recent years correlates with the growing interest in luxe, nutritious food. nourish® magazine defines itself and its ethos as ‘gourmet health’, which centres around health-focused recipes that don’t sacrifice flavour, and the title exclusively publishes features backed up by qualified dietitians, nutritionists and health professionals. Chefs that have contributed to nourish® in recent years range from Jamie Oliver, Louise Keats, Shane Delia, Anjum Anand, Anna Gare, and Luke Nguyen.

Australian foodie icon Maggie Beer appears in the December issue of nourish® alongside biochemist and nutritionist Dr Libby Weaver, and plant-based foodie trendsetter Harriet Birrell.

Since its inception in 1986, Melbourne-based Blitz Publications & Multi-Media Group has grown into one of Australia’s leading health, wellbeing, fitness and sports lifestyle publishing and multimedia companies. With nine brands across eight media platforms, Blitz Publications reaches more than 3,600,000 passionate and loyal readers every month.

Muse magazine targets mental health and wellbeing

Muse Launch Cover

Melbourne, 12th May, 2017: Muse magazine - a new Australian monthly women’s magazine fusing contemporary lifestyle and applied psychology content, promises to encourage positive mental health discussions, promote self-development and inner wellbeing.

Guided by the tagline ‘Think. Create. Become.’ muse will serve the Australian audience as mirror, metaphor and mentor.

“The idea is that the reader is The Muse and will use the magazine to see herself in a new light and hopefully gain information and skills that enable self-development,” says muse editor Rebecca Long. Its intimate ‘human’ lens and simple yet intelligent language differentiate it from both tabloid and academic genres.

“Between the appeal of personal development, inspiration, positive sentiment and mindfulness, it’s a really exciting time to lead those conversations around self-empowerment,” says Long. While its core is everyday style and psychology within relatable contemporary lifestyle contexts, the magazine is intent on shining a light on, and starting conversations around mental health issues often kept out of mainstream media.

“I think welcoming tainted issues such as behavioural traits, personality disorders, moods, lifestyle challenges, family or workplace relationships and the myriad reasons for grief into everyday conversations, can only benefit our collective wellbeing, by reducing fear and dividedness and enhancing the conversation,” Long says. “It’s about informing the audience, through breaking down some of those issues and promoting understanding; using that understanding as females to develop ourselves and compassionately nurture our own and others’ strengths.”

Positioned as “a slow read, to be contemplated and kept as a personal reference”, muse is stylishly designed for coffee table appeal, which will benefit the magazine’s clients and partners.

The title extends BPMG’s stable of successful women’s titles including Women’s Health & Fitness magazine, Australian Natural Health and Nourish.

Since its inception in 1986, Melbourne-based Blitz Publications & Multi-Media Group has grown into one of Australia’s leading health, wellbeing, fitness and sports lifestyle publishing and multimedia companies. With eight brands across eight media platforms, BPMG reaches more than 3,600,000 passionate and loyal consumers every month.

Muse magazine launches nationally on May 25th 2017.

Nourish® magazine grows market reach via Woolworths

Blitz Publications announces its nourish® Magazine is moving to a monthly publication - Blitz Publications & Multi-Media Group

Melbourne, 25th May, 2016: Blitz Publications and Multimedia Group (BPMG) has notched up another win for its popular food magazine, nourish®, with supermarket giant Woolworths announcing a dramatic increase in ranging for the title across its Australian newsstands. The resulting extension of the nourish® brand’s reach coincides with the magazine’s recent move to a monthly publishing schedule in response to its year-on-year growth since launching in April 2013.

Appealing to a rapidly growing audience of health-conscious foodies and home cooks, nourish® has become the go-to guide for consumers looking to embrace wellness through diet while expanding their culinary horizons. With its mantra of ‘Eat Well, Live Well, Be Well’, nourish®  takes a holistic approach to preparing delicious meals with vitality and sustainability in mind, putting it at the forefront of current gastronomic trends.

With nourish®  having seen substantial increases in distribution through Australia’s leading grocery retailers, Coles and Woolworths, in the past 12 months, BPMG CEO Mr Silvio Morelli said the increased availability of nourish®  would be a win not only for consumers but for supermarkets as well.

“I’m pleased to see that Australia’s biggest supermarket chain has followed Coles in recognising the need for nourish® magazine in all corners of Australia, given the indisputable popularity of health-conscious, gourmet home cooking,” said Morelli. “With our sector of the market experiencing huge growth in recent years, it presents a great opportunity not only for BPMG but also the supermarkets, which have begun to capitalise on those food trends and innovations that nourish® is all about. Major retailers like Woolies are increasingly catering to health-conscious and diet-restricted consumers in their aisles, and with nourish® on so many more shelves, buyers can bag the best advice on how to cook these specialised ingredients at the same checkout.”

Woolworths is set to increase its distribution of nourish®  with the publication’s next issue, due for release on the 16th of June.

Since its inception in 1986, Melbourne-based Blitz Publications & Multi-Media Group has grown into one of Australia’s leading health, wellbeing, fitness and sports lifestyle publishing and multimedia companies.
